Remember I shared in this post about Shea Moisture coming to Lagos and there was going to be an exclusive event and pop-up shop to commemorate the launch? Well, I’ve got some pictures to share from the event. The official distributor & partner for Shea Moisture products in Nigeria is Chisuf Ventures LTD, and they offered guests the most amazing deals and exclusive offers on all Shea Moisture products during the event!

I’m talking 20% off the wholesale price on the entire range of products for HAIR. BATH. BODY. MEN. MOMMY&BABY. FACE. COSMETICS. COLLECTIONS. GIFTS & SPECIALS.

The amazing work of TasalaHQ was showcased with beautiful hair created with Shea moisture products. There was also a very insightful interactive session anchored by Shannon Skipper-Green, Shea Moisture Professional & Bukky Fatusin from the UK showcasing the amazing hair styles created by Dupe of TasalaHQ. For those that don’t follow me on instagram, Dupe is responsible for all my colouring needs here in Lagos and she is amazing!

Enjoy the rest of the pictures!

Like I mentioned in this post, I was invited to attend the launch of the Ajali Handmade Naturals showroom and spa this past weekend. Every single product sold in this store is 100% Natural and Handmade! We are truly blessed on this side of the world, that such products are readily available for us to buy. The international skincare industry literally fall over themselves for products that are ‘organic’ or ‘natural’ and these are usually the most expensive on the market. And here we are in Lagos, surrounded by numerous indigenous businesses selling these 100% natural skincare products & oils.

Full Product List & Prices for Ajali Handmade Naturals

They’ve got products that can be used on the skin and hair. They haven’t got an expansive range of products, but I am pretty sure they will be adding more to their product line as the company grows. And I actually don’t hate the fact they haven’t got a huge range of products, because that way they can maintain their ‘handmade’ touch and produce extremely good quality products. Quality over quantity for me, any day! Even with their current product range, they seem to have covered all the basics: Body Scrubs, Butters (Soufflés) & Polishes, Face Masks & Oils, Oil Blends, Lip Balms & Scrubs and Konjac Sponges. Isn’t it so convenient that they displayed the prices of everything they sell, and I thought to share them with you guys since that’s usually the most important information to know once you’ve decided you like what a brand is offering.

I love love love their clean, no-fuss packaging, it’s all about letting the products speak for themselves!

I picked up a bottle of their Vitamin E Facial Oil and a Lip Scrub. I had a random breakout on either side of my jaw area last month and I want to see if the Vitamin E oil will help reduce the appearance, of the scars they left behind, so I’ll definitely let you know how that goes. I was also very pleasantly surpised to see that they also had Rosehip Oil. A couple years ago my friend and I looked EVERYWHERE and couldn’t find Rosehip oil in Lagos, good to know we can now re-purchase from Ajali when we run out !

Hey Everyone,

Hope you are all well!

Beauty Africa Exhibition came to an end last week Friday, 9th of October, and it was a huge success. For those of you that missed it, I have got a few pictures to share in this post. I got quite a few emails and direct questions asked concerning what exactly the Exhibition was about, what they were to expect. Quite simply, the Exhibition is targeted as business owners, because they get to meet directly with the brands and wholesalers. It’s also good for Beauty Enthusiasts, as you get to discover the numerous brands that are available in Nigeria, there were also a few retailers including The BiL Directory vendors: BeautyKink & YangaBeauty. I managed to stock up on false-lashes as they were selling them for N800/N900, sweet bargain!

Speaking of discovering businesses and brands available in Nigeria, I did discover two which I think will be of much interest to you guys. I will have two separate posts about them up this week, so keep an eye out!

L-R: Me, Nibi Lawson (Kinky Apothecary), Jennifer (BellaNaija), Dabs (NaijaHairCanGrow), Stella (StellasAddiction), Lola Maja (Sacred BeautyPhoto Cred: You Makeovers

I was also part of a panel of experts during the exhibition, discussing the power of social media and using it as a marketing tool. Was a very insightful panel, and the feedback so far has been nothing but positive! It is nerve wracking speaking in public, but I really enjoy sharing all I know and if in some way I can help at least one person, I’m all in.

Thanks to everyone that came to be a part of the panel, could not believe the number of people that attended! I hope we helped in some way!

Ramble over, enjoy the pictures!

If you are a business owner and you missed out on this year’s exhibition, I advice you make it a point to attend next year, or even exhibit! I guarantee you won’t regret it! (and NO I wasn’t paid for this post, thanks)

Hope you enjoyed the pictures, and look out for my posts on my top two discoveries at this year’s Beauty Africa Exhibition.
