Amplifying the Nigerian beauty industry is a part of our mission statement and we are very intentional about spotlighting indigenous beauty brands. The feedback on the last series, 18 HIGH-PERFORMANCE NIGERIAN SKINCARE BRANDS TO KNOW, was incredible! Far-gone are the days where the word ‘mediocre’ was associated with Nigerian beauty brands, we are seeing stellar products dropping and we want to keep highlighting the brands contributing to this long-awaited shift. To this end we decided to enlist the help of another Brand Expert to curate a new list…. this time around, it’s Makeup!

This list is in no particular order and I love these brands, so a very well done to them all! So here’s a list of 9 exceptional Nigerian makeup brands to know:

1. BeautyByAD

This brand is really impressive. Almost everything they have is 5-star in terms of quality, volume of the product & packaging.

2. Yanga Beauty

Another brand that puts serious thought into their products & branding. They have really good products that are versatile & beautiful.

3. Viccabel

They are a makeup tools brand & their brushes/beauty sponges are top-notch. I really love when a brand’s aesthetics are chic & the products really work well.

4. Msmetics

Another impressive brand. They’ve got lashes, base products (primers) as well as finishing products (Setting sprays). I love them & everything they offer.

5. T.M Essentials

This brand is a daring brand. They push unpopular products into the market & they become so trendy. They were one of the first Nigerian brands to release liquid & powder blush into the Nigerian market & it was an instant hit! They’ve got really good base products as well.

6. Honey Beauty

This is a young Nigerian Brand compared to the others but they are making their mark. Their products are 🔥 & the packaging is also 🔥. I think it’s safe to say that pretty packaging paired with awesome products is a 🔥💯 combo

7. Sao Beauty

Also another young brand that shouldn’t be ignored. For now, their range is solely makeup remover products & tools, i.e cleansing balms & pads. I’m rooting for them for real.

8. Omaricode

You have to give it to Nigerian Brands, abeg. Omaricode is another mind blowing brand. The brand is really a skin focused beauty brand & their products enhance your makeup while taking care of your skin. Impressive

9. Hegai & Esther

This brand serves lit quality while offering variety. Variety in makeup tools, makeup products & shade range. 🔥🔥🔥
