As previously announced, BeautyInLagos is the official conference partner for this year’s Beauty West Africa Exhibition & Conference. We are now, exactly, 1 week away from the Conference which will hold from next week Wednesday 17th November – Friday 19th November at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos.
We have put together a cohesive flow of relevant & timely conversations across 5 different Panels, with the Keynote Address being delivered by the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).
KEYNOTE ADDRESS: SKILLS ACQUISITION & ACCESS TO FUNDING FOR BEAUTY BUSINESS OWNERS

When it comes to empowerment and financial support, the beauty sector of the economy is often overlooked as most institutions still do not regard ‘Beauty’ as serious business. This wide-spread impression results in great difficulty for entrepreneurs and business owners to build sustainable businesses. Ironically the Nigerian Beauty Market is worth an estimated $1.2billion( according to a recent article published on Business of Fashion (https://www.businessoffashion.com/briefings/global-markets/how-to-crack-nigerias-12-billion-beauty-market), and majority of these businesses are self-funded.
Mrs. Teju Abisoye, the Executive Secretary of Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) will share about their diverse programs avaialble to empower and provide opportunities for entrepreneurs with great business ideas.
PANEL 1: BEAUTY FRANCHISE & DISTRIBUTION

Represented on this panel are official Nigerian franchisees & distributors of some major international beauty brands you are familiar with, like: Smashbox, Esteé Lauder, Lancôme, Milani, Image Skincare, Clinique & Revlon, to name a few. We also have some key industry players responsible for executing strategies for these major brands. If you’re looking for insight on how the franchising and distribution sector of our industry works, distribution within Nigeria, what it takes to become a distributor for a major international beauty brand and the complex intricacies behind a successful launch in Nigeria.
PANEL 2: BEAUTY BRANDS AND INFLUENCER MARKETING

What does it take to be a successful Beauty-Influencer in Nigeria? This panel was well thought-out because we didn’t want to have a one-sided conversation with just the influencers, we wanted to bring all parties together. The influencers, the beauty brands AND the booking agent who understands both sides. This is definitely going to be an interesting conversation, so if you’re an Influencer, a brand owner or a marketing expert this is the panel for you.
PANEL 3: BEAUTY RETAIL CHANNELS IN NIGERIA

So you launched your beauty brand, what retail options are available to you? Or you’re an international brand coming into Nigeria, which retailers should you be seeking out. With this panel we have two major and two popular niche beauty retailers who will be telling all! Even if you are a retailer yourself, there’s definitely a lot to be learnt from this panel discussion.
PANEL 4: THE RISE OF A-BEAUTY

We’re proud to be collaborating with @afribeautycollective on this one. A-Beauty is fast gaining momentum, and instead of riding the wave we’re creating the wave! It’s important that we as a continent OWN this narrative and not allow people who have no idea what’s going on in our industry dictate what A-Beauty is. This promises to be a very very informative panel discussion, if you’re an A-Beauty founder yourself, you can’t afford to miss this.
PANEL 5: SEEKING PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

BeautyInLagos was launched in 2012, because NO ONE was willing to share information. Fast-forward 9years, there’s now SO MUCH information and everyone seems to be an expert. Allow us introduce you to some certified Nigerian experts you can trust. A diverse panel of beauty experts, from cosmetic surgery & intravenous nutrient therapy to skincare & product formulation. We are putting these Experts in the hot seat and asking those pressing questions. If you’ve got a question that you would like answered by an expert, this is your chance because typically these people charge a fee for their time.
Attendance to the conference is completely FREE for all exhibition visitors that have pre-registered themselves to attend.
