This Friday, I’ve teamed up with Mary Negron to offer a Free live demonstration on the Polygel manicure technique. Polygel is the latest nail technique and it’s not even available in Nigeria yet.
So join us this Friday as we host a one-hour ‘look and learn’ session. Mary will also be answering all questions regarding the technique.

This Saturday, I have been invited to speak at a Masterclass event organised by The Assembly.
The purpose of the Masterclass is to inspire and educate budding and practicing bloggers and content creators on what it takes to become a successful blogger/content creator in the fashion and creative industry. More importantly present them with the skills, learnings and insights needed for blogging, writing and content creation and of course the realities of working in Africa’s creative sector.
I’ll be sharing all about my journey into becoming a blogger, blogging tips and tricks, content creation hacks, advice, etc..
If you were curious about how the ‘back-end’ of this whole blogging world works, or you want to be a blogger and just have no idea where to start, this event is for you and it is FREE! All you need to do is register and I have provided all the details you need below.

Once again, BeautyInLagos is partnering with International Nail-Tech and Educator, Mary Negron, to run a number of training sessions while she’s out here. For anyone who missed out on the last one we put together in May, here’s another chance to sign-up. We have Private (hands-on) and Group (look-and-learn) sessions, so there’s something for everyone. The Private sessions kick-off from the 19th of September and run through until the 14th of October, while the Group trainings start on the 3rd of October and run until the 9th. So there’s more than enough time to prepare and budget.
PRIVATE SESSIONS: HANDS-ON TRAINING
The private sessions have been designed to be hands-on, that is you get to practice as you learn. Everyone is welcome to sign-up for the Beginner level classes, but Intermediate & Expert levels are strictly for seasoned professionals who wish to learn new techniques or brush-up on their skills.
DATES FOR PRIVATE TRAININGS
SEPTEMBER 19th – 22nd
SEPTEMBER 25th – 29th
OCTOBER 5th & 6th
OCTOBER 12th & 13th
GROUP SESSIONS: LOOK-AND-LEARN TRAINING
As always, these will be look-and-learn sessions only and students are not required to bring in any materials. The training sessions have been structured in such a way that we are able to cover the crucial nail techniques and also accommodate different skill-set levels. Everyone is welcome to sign-up for the Beginner level classes, but Intermediate & Expert levels are strictly for seasoned professionals who wish to learn new techniques or brush-up on their skills.

The 6th Edition of the Lagos Makeup Fair is this weekend Saturday & Sunday 17th – 18th June, 2017, and if you are a true beauty enthusiast you don’t want to miss this. I say this every single time I share about this event, that there is literally NOTHING like it. This is the 6th edition and the event continues to evolve and grow, year after year. I attended the first ever edition back in 2012 (read about that here), and to see how it’s expanded in terms of how many vendors exhibit and also the content they churn out, makes me so happy. So what else can you expect apart from this edition, apart from the obvious stocking up on your fave products and discovering more brands? Keep reading
TWO MEGA FAIRS UNDER ONE ROOF
The event has expanded to also include an Indie & Wellness exhibition section too. So apart from shopping makeup brands, you can also discover and shop some all-natural/organic beauty brands too.
DARE TO TIE (DTT) GELE CONTEST
There will be a gele tying competition with loads of prizes for the winners. This competition will hold on Saturday 17th June @ 2pm
MAKEUP RUNWAY AFRICA
There will be a competition for Makeup Artists as well, encouraging makeup creativity. This competition will hold on Sunday, 18th June.
So there will be loads of activities going on, vendors will also be offering flash sales off items. My personal advice, if there is a product you need to discover, repurchase or stock up on Lagos Makeup Fair is the best place to indulge because literally every single vendor will have discounts or offers running.
