So excited to be back at Beauty West Africa to host another edition of ‘In Conversation with BeautyInLagos’.

The In Conversation with BeautyInLagos series is one of our trademark initiatives launched to take the BiL interaction beyond the digital realm. It’s one thing to read a post by an Expert addressing a certain topic, but it’s something totally different to be able to interact with said Expert and get your questions answered. With this initiative we want to address relevant beauty-related topics, offering practical solutions and just generally sharing their wealth of knowledge.

PANEL 1

For our first Panel we will be discussing a topic that is currently shrouded in secrecy, Cosmetic Surgery in Nigeria. We have decided to take the first step and initiate healthy dialogue; let’s talk about. We will be collaborating with TV Personality & Producer, Vimbai Mutinhiri (thevimbai.com) and the session kicks-off with an exclusive screening of BET’s #KillerCurves documentary, followed immediately by an interactive Panel Discussion. We will share everything from facts to personal experiences.

PANEL 2

Our Second Panel will be discussing Makeup Artistry in Nigeria. This is a discussion I always wanted to see happen, and I am so humbled by the fact that we are able to make it happen. Being a Makeup Artist in Nigeria can sometimes feel like it’s ‘Survival of the Fittest’, seems like everyone and their Mama is a Makeup Artist these days, so how exactly is one supposed to make it in this Industry? Imagine what being a Makeup Artist in Nigeria looked like 15-20 years ago, before social media and kim kardashian, how were those who decided to make it a profession able to build and remain relevant. Then what of the Makeup Artists who started out just after social media peaked and it’d just become a respected profession, how were they able to find their niche in a now over-saturated industry
Come find out on Friday, 22nd November.
