At the core of every makeup artist’s work is the use of color. From matching a client’s skin tone and minimizing the appearance of blemishes, to selection of styles and looks tailored to each client’s needs, color is an integral component in every Makeup Artists’s (MUA) work.

Introducing: The MUA Color Wheel, evolving from traditional color theory. I refined the color wheel to address the unique challenges and opportunities within the realm of makeup artistry – Which is: Finding the perfect match every single time.
It is a circular wheel with a visual representation of skin tone colors and their undertones, that helps you see the subtle differences between skin tones and shows you how to alter or color correct to match every undertone. The inspiration behind the MUA Color Wheel arose from the necessity for MUAs to manage a wide spectrum of skin tones, undertones, and color products; a skill that’s hardly talked about in the makeup industry in Nigeria.

What makes the MUA Color Wheel truly special is its comprehensive inclusion of colors specifically tailored for dark skin tones. This emphasis on inclusivity ensures that makeup artists have a reliable tool that caters to the full spectrum of clientele.
