And so, let’s get into sharing all that happened on Day 2!
We also had two panel discussions again on the 2nd Day of the Conference, and got things started with our A-Beauty Panel.
The panel discussion was so inspiring, motivating and enlightening! To see A-Beauty founders passionate about telling the African story and creating avenues for other Founders to thrive and grow within the eco-system was so encouraging, because we can only build this industry through collaboration and combined effort. One thing that stuck-out was learning how difficult it is to transact business within Africa; between African countries. The unnecessary roadblocks and exorbitant taxes. It truly was an eye-opening discussion and a very important conversation that needs to be amplified.
Next up was the ‘Power Panel’! The Beauty Industry in Nigeria is largely unregulated and so we needed to bring to the forefront, Regulatory Bodies and Associations responsible for safe-guarding this Industry and learn more about their policies and measures they have in place.
This panel delivered a very important dialogue that will serve as a launch-pad for future conversations and of course deliberate action.
Day 2 was definitely an interesting day at the Conference, and we can’t wait to bring you highlights of the Final day. So check back soon.
