Your skin can be oily & dehydrated, and drinking water is not enough!
Before we share with you the serum combinations for tackling dehydrated skin. Let’s answer a question I’m sure quite a few of you guys have been wondering….
Why Layer?
We can give you a numerous reasons why you should layer your serums however, here’s 3:
- Ingredients work together for best results
- You might be treating more than one skincare concern e.g acne and dehydration.
- Your skin may need additional TLC
It’s also important to note that there are products/serums on the market that already come in some of these combinations mentioned in this Series. So if layering just isn’t your thing, we believe we’ve equipped you with enough information to help you make an informed decision next time you’re browsing through the skincare section at your favourite retailer.
Ok, let’s get into the serum combinations for Dehydrated skin….
SPOILER ALERT!!!
The solution is literally in the name. Dehydration means your skin isn’t getting enough/retaining moisture like it should. Solution? Incorporate products that will act like humectants for the skin.
And most of the time dehydration isn’t always an isolated issue, which is why layering serums will be helpful; e.g., some of the products recommended to treat acne may cause dryness.
For Dehydrated skin, look for serums with:
Hyaluronic acid or Glycerin
+
Niacinamide or Peptides
